The several types of power are reward power, expert power, referent power, legitimate power, and coercive power (Clegg, 2019). Legitimate power describes a person's authority due to their formal organizational position. Expert power refers to a person's command over a group of people due to his exceptional knowledge, skill, or expertise. Referent power is the power arising from a person's ability to inspire and influence other people (Clegg, 2019). Among the several social powers, the power that best reflects me is reward power. This power arises from the ability to influence people due to the control of desired resources (Bonner et al., 2021). Everyone is motivated when they are incentivized; as a result, this power effectively keeps a team together and retains employees at work.
